She will be sharing some fabulous card tutorials tomorrow. But first let's learn a little bit more about Leslie
1.Tell us a little about you and your blog.
Hello T-Shirt Diary fans! I'm Leslie, a dance teacher & choreographer by trade and crafter in my spare time. Since I have a hungry fiance to feed I spend a lot of my time cooking instead of crafting. But I'm an all around artsy fartsy kinda gal. On my blog Try To Keep Up! you'll find scrapbooking, cards, spray paint & other home projects, snippets of my latest choreography, and a lot of recipes!
2.How and when did you start crafting?
I've been crafting probably as long as I've been dancing...which if you're curious is about 25 years! My sister Jill, yes THAT Jill from Envirocraftiness, and I have always loved making projects, and the projects have evolved as we've grown up. I really can't remember a time I didn't like to make crafts-it's always been a part of my life, just in different ways!
3.What made you decide to join Stashbusting September?
If you could only SEE how much scrapbook paper I have you'd understand why I HAD to join Stashbusting September....Plus it's an easy challenge and makes you stretch your creativity. Sometimes the best layouts come from desperation...er, I mean inspiration! Not to mention that having Jill involved made me want to get involved....I think it's called sibling rivalry? LOL
4. What one project do you hope to get done during this month?
Well I should be able to finally finish staining my IKEA shoe rack (never again!) and I hope to get a good chunk of Christmas cards done. I'd also REALLY like to finish my living room, which may or may not involve hanging wall paper-something I have yet to attempt.
5.What is your guilty pleasure?
I have multiple guilty pleasures....anything peanut butter and chocolate (Mr. Noodles and white bread are right up there too!), showtunes, cheesy musicals (including movie musicals) and the TV show "Video on Trial". It's on Much Music in Canada and they basically make fun of pop music videos-it's wonderful!
6. If you were stuck on a desert island what crafting item would you bring with you (or items)?
If I was stuck on a desert island what crafting item would I bring with me? Hmmmm, that's a tough one..while I do love my glue gun there's no outlets on a desert island so I pick my Sharpies! I can't live without a good Sharpie and mine are so lurvely in all those different colours. I am definitely a shapes, colours and patterns kinda gal -everything I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten (you should see my daytimer - colour coded for easy readability). Maybe with those Sharpies I could find a big piece of bark or leaf and create a real pretty SOS message, so I wouldn't be stranded anymore?
