Just Like That, I am Back

Image
If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an...

$25 Target Challenge

Here is the biggest non-secret in the world. Target is every mom's "Happy" place. Seriously it's the one place where you can either get away from everything and wander in peace through the aisles or go with your kids and run into about ten other moms wrangling their little angels through the bright aisles.

Have you every noticed that Target doesn't have any visible clocks? It's like Vegas for moms, they probably secretly pump oxygen through the air vents. Oh yeah and they have Starbucks, can you think of any place better?

So along with the rest of America I am trying to be budget conscious and I wanted to go to Target, buy what I needed: dog food and diapers, and walk out the door without spending $100 dollars. This is hard. Really hard, it's like this succubus that  won't let you out without dropping at least a Benjamin (not soccer mom's lame attempt at being cool using lingo that hasn't been since 1999.)

Here is what I got:

  • Foil - $1.22
  • Milk - $2.99
  • Nail Clippers - $.42
  • Huggies Diapers - $4.99
  • 3 Things of Activia Yogurt - $5.57
  • Dog Food - $4.99
  • Peanut Butter - $2.49
  • Johnson & Johnson Baby Wash - $1.00
Total with coupons and Tax: $26.04

But wait being the coupon double checking thrifty momma that I am I realized that they forgot to apply one of my coupons ($1.00 off three packs of Activia).

Yeah! I think the most shocking thing is that my eco-friendly momma secret is out. I don't use clothe diapers. I tried, I really did. Bum Genius and G-Diapers, but sadly my OCD won and I am a clothe diaper failure.  I am embarrassed, but it's true. Now you know.

Even when I think I spent $25 - I didn't lol Great job!
Great savings! Have you ever checked into Amazon mom? It offers diapers at incredible savings, delivered to your door! But I won't tell that you use disposables!
