Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. Stashbusting September Sign-Up

Welcome to Stashbusting September. We are gearing up for a big showing for all so I figured I would start sign-ups early.

First off this Stashbusting September is going to be different because it is going to be run hear at The T-Shirt Diaries, and also over at Pinkapoamus.

Secondly we have a lovely mascot. Seriously what would a contest be without a mascot? So let me introduce you to Stashbusting Sam:

Stashbusting September blogs are voluntarily giving up buying crafting supplies for the month of September. They promise to:
  • Link your blog (the main page please not an individual post) to the linky below. The linky will be open until September 3th at Midnight.
  • Craft for personal use only with items they have on hand. No buying new craft supplies, even if you are shopping at Goodwill or garage sales. It is all about busting your craft supply at hand and actually doing those projects you bought all the stash for in the first place. (Buying craft supplies for business use IS permitted)
  • Think of unique and creative ways to use items they were thinking of throwing out (diaper boxes to fabric covered storage bins, pencil holders from soup cans, upcycled clothing, etc.)
  • Think outside of the box.
  • Try to make at least one upcycled craft item this month. Upcycled craft items from Stashbusting September can be entered into the Stashbusting contest for a rocking prize from our top secret for now, sponsor.
  • Proudly post the Stashbusting September button on their website so everyone knows they are busting some stash.
  • Check back here to find out other blogs that are busting some stash.
  •  During Stashbusting September we will still have the "Upcycled Awesome" linky party. I just love all of the inspiration. To be entered in the Stashbusting September contest (the link will be up September 1st) you must link your project up to the Stashbusting September link.
  • Encourage all of your bloggy friends to join up:

I have some serious busting to do, soon as I finish organizing again. This is a great way to get motivated and I can't wait to see all the other projects people come up with!

Underneath my bed is where perfectly innocent fabric goes to die. Or something. Anyway, the point is I have loads and loads of stashed fabric, wool, zips, buttons, etc. etc. etc!

I'm pretty sure I can make something out of that lot without needing to spend any pennies!

Hello lovely T-shirt Diary followers!  The Pink Bat Girl is here to rescue you from plain old scrap wood and boredom today with a fun Memorial Day upcycled project!  My block wood is courtesy of an old toddler bed that all of my kids used from Ikea.  The bed has been given away, however, we still had the old wood that went under the mattress.  I thought it would make some really great wood blocks!
