Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an...

Simplify - Word of the Year

What is your word of the year?

Interesting question isn't it? One word that defines something about the year that is 2011 is a pretty big concept. Just one word, no sentences, no statements on whatthis year will bring, just a word.

So here is todays challenge (not that you need one?) let me know what your one word for 2011 is. You don't need a long why just the word. One word in the comments.

Definitely a good word for the year. Mine is LOVE. I need to learn to be more a lover than a fighter of it lol.

Simplify is wonderful. However, I am feeling a teeny bit the opposite, have been a little too one-track-minded recently and want to mix things up. I think this year, my word is going to be Action.

I love simple, but I think for this year my word will be "focus." This is because I'm not very good at keeping focused - I tend to be spread thin, trying to do too many projects at once. I think staying focused will keep things more efficient!

Hello lovely T-shirt Diary followers!  The Pink Bat Girl is here to rescue you from plain old scrap wood and boredom today with a fun Memorial Day upcycled project!  My block wood is courtesy of an old toddler bed that all of my kids used from Ikea.  The bed has been given away, however, we still had the old wood that went under the mattress.  I thought it would make some really great wood blocks!
