Just Like That, I am Back

 If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an...

Stash Busting Idea #1

So I was stalking checking out the cool things that Michele Made Me was working on for Stashbusting September and I found a genius idea for using up some scraps.

First off check out Michele's entry for busting some stash: Handmade Wooden Buttons



She needs to sell these bad boys! I LOVE them and I feel an ETSY shop item coming up.

Okay back to my idea. She had this button on her website:


Dolly Donations Sending Love to Children in Need

And they are collecting dollies until November 1st.

The dolls will be sent to the Free The Kids (Theo’s Work inc.)  organization. According to the website Free The Kids is a wonderful organization that was founded by Father Marc to help orphaned and vulnerable children in Haiti. His orphanage situated in Southern Haiti was set up to care for young children and teenage boys from the streets, however since the earth quake there has been an ever growing population of girls who have found a new home at ‘Hope Village’.

They need 132 dolls and the dolls can easily be made using scraps. Sarah from Dolly Donations provides a free pattern. Heck I might even stuff my dollies with T-shirt scraps so no need to buy stuffing.

Mayway thank you Michele for posting that button and hopefully we can bust some stash and make some dolls!

That is very cool Robin! First off, thank you for showing off my buttons. Amazing of you!

Secondly, I loved making the dollies for Dolly Donations. It is a great cause that I hope others will take up too. In fact, I used only scraps to make my batch of dollies, and I agree. What better way is there to "bust some stash"? I can't think of one.

I also love the idea of stuffing the dollies with some of your stash - double stashbusting! Those buttons are so gorgeous, I adore everything Michele Made Me makes, by the way...
