Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an...

Wigs for Kids 5K

It is summer so what better way to spend it than to hang out at the Zoo.

My Hubby ran the Wigs for Kids 5K at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

I wasn't up for it, but it is another one of my favorite causes so I had to take the kids to teach them a little more about the organization.

Wigs for Kids was founded by Jefferey Paul 25 years ago when his 15 year old niece began to loose her hair due to Leukemia. Wigs for Kids provides Wigs for children who and adults who have lost their hair due to illness at no cost. The wigs are made out of 150,000 strands of real hair. So along with the 5K to raise funds they have a cut-a-thon to gather hair donations to make wigs.

I asked C1 if she wanted to donate her hair, but she love looking like Rapunzel.  I was fine with the because I am not quite ready to let go of my little girls long locks.

After daddy finished the grueling 5K in 24 minutes we were off to enjoy a day at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

We checked out the new Elephant Crossing, tried on some big ears, and snuggled up with a wonderful little Koala that I totally wanted to go take home.

Next race: August 20th Out Run Ovarian Cancer! I am getting back into the running grove so here is to breaking 40 minutes!

Awesomeness!! Coincidentally, I have one kid donating her hair TODAY! My other kid, whose hair is not long enough anyway, also aspires to be repunzel :-)
