Just Like That, I am Back

If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an...

Spring Stashbust Update. How You Doing?

How is the Spring Stashbust going for you?

Be honest is it easier or harder than the stashbust we did in September?

I am loving it but I feel like I have such a large stash I could extend this party for months and still be fine (maybe I will).

I have not stepped into the almost closed JoAnne Fabric's in Lakewood which is a good thing because if I don't go in I can't get tempted by the huge store closing sale. I heard they have just about nothing left and I am just going to pretend that they are already closed.

So what else. I have really been rocking through my stash of T-shirts working with some I have not touched since I bought them possibly a year ago. I have been making a ton of T-skirts. It's a T-shirt skirt that looks adorable on and uses pre-loved t-shirts.

I made eight for Crafty Goodness in Lakewood. Heck I even have one in the front window.

So things are going good with the stashbusting.

On the not so good side is my poor camera. My lens got scratched by my daughter and it is off to the fuji factory or wherever they fix those bad boys. It is really frustrating because I have tried to take a few picks from my old sony camera but I realize now more than ever why I got rid of it in the first place.

So that is how the spring stashbust is going for me, how is it going for you. I want to hear your comments! Talk to me friends.

I didn't participate back in September so I have nothing to compare to, but I've been spitting out fabric projects at a much larger clip then any time in recent past, and my fabric stash is definitely looking less like it's going to take over my craft room. So I'm going to have to say this has been very successful so far. Thanks for the push.
I've resisted temptation and I actually have managed a few "saves" out of my Repairs bin. I even made a whole dress out of repurposed clothes.

I didn't participate in the fall either. I am having so much fun getting stuff done! I'm thinking outside the box and figure out how to work with what I've got instead of shopping. My goal is to keep going until my craft area can easily be cleaned up daily (because I've made room) and I can go shop for the project I have in mind and do it because I have time and space for it!

I haven't bought a thing, and so proud of my self! Sorry about your poor camera, Robin, home it comes home soon. And I'm so impressed that you're avoiding that sale - don't know if I could have.
